AnimeFest 2009 REPORT!
I decided to sell leftover A-KON stuff at AnimeFest and I'm glad that I did. I made enough to cover the table, badges and parking so that was a good thing.
I focused more on commissions at this convention instead of making things like at A-KON. I only produced a few prints of Felicia LOL Cat because she sold well at A-KON. Some of my purses sold! YAY! For next years conventions I am going to make some jewelry because this nice girl next to me sold a bunch of her lovely necklaces. People kept asking about them when she would leave for the evening. I was also placed next to Kristin Bergh. She and her mother were kind enough to give my dad and I convention tips. ^__^ <333
The jewelry I plan to make are charm bracelets with polymer clay and plastic charms. I'm going to use Shrinky Dink ink jet sheets to make the charms. I seen others use it like QueenofDorks so I can't wait until it arrives from ebay.
I got very sick when I returned from AnimeFest so I'm thinking I caught something there. I felt horrible all last week so that was the only bad thing about going.
Well, I guess the Disney recall of products at AnimeFest was a sucky thing but I know that Disney hates it when people sell their characters as fan art. That is why I didn't draw any Disney stuff for the cons even though I'm a big fan of the movies since a kid. Folks around me were very upset that they had to take down their Disney fan art items. What I heard is that the mass Disney removal came about because a guest who works at Disney saw keyblades with a Mickey Mouse symbol on them.
Now that I feel better I'm going to clear my to do list so apologies to everyone who has been waiting on stuff from me.
I'm in ImagineFX October Issue!
I been a long time subscriber to ImagineFX so was thrilled when they selected me for the Readers Gallery on their DVD that comes with the magazine. It was one of my goals to get into the magazine so this is a step closer. Technically, the DVD is located IN the magazine so maybe my goal was reached?
I've always dreamed of being a concept or comic artist so maybe I'll be lucky enough to get a project from this recent exposure. Here is a link of me on the DVD if you wish to see it.

I blame your twilight fanart for my A-kon nightmares. It must want me to fav it. It stared at me the entire convention, mere yards from my face.
It was most disturbing.
